Edible Selby Book

Get ready to be inspired.

Todd Selby’s second book focuses on the kitchens, gardens and restaurants of some pretty incredible figures in the culinary world.

Love that Eric Werner from amazing Hartwood Restaurant in Tulum is on the cover.

cool treats

Oh it’s way too hot today.

Some ice cream would be nice.

Proper Dining

love this beautifully set table.

Amazing Chèvre

Mothais Le Villageois Chèvre from France is my new favourite find in the cheese department.

I get mine at Chris’ Cheesemongers in St. Lawrence Market.

Roasted Grapes

Have you ever tried roasted grapes?

They are incredibly delicious, especially when paired with a woody goat cheese on grilled bread.

Vegetable Drawings

I’m not crazy about fruit and vegetable decorations in a kitchen, but these understated black and white drawings are worth consideration.

Very Chez Panisse!

kitchen love…

Chia

Prior to a couple of years ago, the only use for Chia that i knew of was to grow a Chia Pet.

Now it seems like it’s everywhere and it’s nutritional benefits are much touted.

This past weekend my sister in law Jen was telling me how she had started drinking a shake every morning made with soy milk, berries, banana, baby spinach and Chia powder and now she’s lost 6 lbs.

I still have some pregnancy weight to take off, so i need to start drinking this pronto!

old school…

remember the Iceberg Wedge?

i am so craving one right now.

more pops of colour

love these these pops of intense colour in an otherwise plain kitchen.
